Take a tour of Ribadavia and step by step you will discover the medieval splendour of this ancient capital of the Kingdom of Galicia, centre of the wine producing region of the Ribeiro for centuries... • HISTORY OF WINE ROUTE

This is one of the best routes to enjoy and appreciate Galicia's magical and medieval flavour, passing through lush countryside, vineyards, native woods, medieval towns, old manor houses, monasteries and romanic churches. The Ribeiro has been renowned for its wine for many centuries, and this route gives you the opportunity to follow the paths that were created by men centuries ago to harvest the grape. This route takes you through one of the most emblematic zones in Galicia, where you can enjoy quality wines.

DURATION: This route takes place in the morning or in the afternoon, and takes 4-5 hours.

The price includes: a guided tour, visits to wine cellars and the chance to sample some of the wines, a guided tour of Ribadavia and medieval towns, visits to monasteries, the chance to taste Jewish pastries and liquors of the region (the only place in Spain where they are made).
