Ribadavia is situated in the South of Galicia (Northwest Spain), between the cities of Ourense and Vigo.

La bella Floravia – the name which Otero Pedrayo gave to Ribadavia – is situated on the banks of the River Avia, which flows into the River Miño very close to the town, creating a beautiful viewpoint.

With good links with the main cities in Galicia and Spain, Ribadavia is only 40 minutes from the beach, 25 km from the city of Ourense (the Athens of Galicia), and 90 km from Santiago de Compostela, the capital of Galicia. Ribadavia is very easy to get to, whether it be by bus, car, train or air, with Vigo airport only 60 km away.
