The Ribeiro offers something for everyone. If you like water sports, the River Avia and the Water sports centre in Castrelo are the perfect places to try canoeing, rowing, sailing or windsurfing.

If you really want to take advantage of the mountains and the countryside, then hiking, mountain climbing, rambling or mountain biking are just some of the activities you could try. Explore the mythical “Ruta de la historia del vino y del románico”, pay a visit to Pena Corneira, or take a trip on the River Miño through the idyllic setting of the Ribeiro.

Visit the wood of Ridimoas, pass through the Avia Gorge, explore the caves and Celtic passages, discover ancient cities, touch the sky in the Suido or bathe in crystal-clear waters. In Ribadavia and the Ribeiro nature, magic, leisure and adventure mix to provide the perfect retreat.

Rivers

Relax under the shade of a tree, or bathe in one of our crystal clear rivers or streams that flow through the countryside. Whichever you prefer, Ribadavia and the Ribeiro offer the perfect chance to escape the stress of normal life.

 - A Veronza
A magnificent beach on the banks of the river, with swimming pools, a recreational area, children’s playground, restaurants, ample parking, sports centre, etc. and close to the historic town of Ribadavia.

- "O Muiño" area
If you are looking for a bit of peace and quiet, on the River Avia next to the mill of Raiña (and the city walls of the town), you will find the perfect spot to enjoy the tranquillity and go for a dip in one of the many small pools formed between the rocks and the sand.

- Pools in Francelos
A natural beauty spot of crystal-clear pools and small waterfalls, where you can enjoy a refreshing bath or simply take in the surroundings. Just 1 km from Ribadavia, on the River Outeiro.

- Pools in Prexigueiro
The River Cerves flows through the village of Prexigueiro, which is 3 km from Ribadavia. It is here where you will find the clear, shallow waters of the Pozas de Prexigueiro, as well as a small spa where you can enjoy the thermal waters.

- Sailing club in Castrelo de Miño
Only 4 km from Ribadavia you will find a large lake formed by the dam in Castrelo de Miño. It is here where you can try many different activities, from sailing and windsurfing, to rowing and canoeing. In addition, there is a swimming pool, ample parking, a campsite and a hotel.

- Pools in Melón
In the mountainous region of the Ribeiro you will find pools formed by the River Cerves, in Melón (8 km from Ribadavia). Enjoy the clean, crystal-clear pools and waterfalls, which can only be accessed on foot.
